St Michael’s Church

St Michael’s, is the oldest building in Kirkby Thore, second only to the Roman fort of Bravoniacum, and for at least 900 years has served the village as its Parish Church. The Church’s heritage, physical and spiritual, is bound up with the lives of all who have lived and worked in Kirkby Thore for a millennium. St Michael’s continues  as the visible presence to support the ‘cure of souls’ of everyone in the parish.
